Work with us at

High Spirit Community Farm

Standard Employment

These open positions do not live on-site. Employees commute to High Spirit from their own home. These positions may include a variety of care-giving roles or administrative roles.

Live-In Positions

Staff members and volunteers live in the High Spirit homes with individuals with disabilities, and create a family-like culture together within that home.

Although living where you work is non-traditional, there are many benefits that should be considered. Live-in staff receive the benefit of free housing and meals on top of their regular pay.

Live-in Staff roles are for:

All are essential to the High Spirit Community Farm culture. We benefit from the fresh energy that they bring, their hard work, and the inevitable strong friendships that form.

The live-in coworkers do a little bit of everything, but their most important job is to form a meaningful relationship with the residents with disabilities for whom they provide caring companionship. They help in the home with cooking, cleaning, personal care for residents, and contributing to a positive home environment. They also assist in our Day Program by joining the residents for arts, athletic and social activities in town, and by participating in on-site programming such as: soap-making, growing vegetables and flowers, caring for animals, woodworking, and other nature-based activities. Staff and volunteers will develop a range of additional skills. High Spirit will provide training and mentorship in:

  • Direct Support Professional Skills

  • Cooking

  • Day Program Leadership and Planning

  • Goal Setting and Achievement

  • Leadership Basics (scheduling, budgeting, staff management, conflict management)

Join us for a year, or more, of friendship, personal growth, and new accomplishments.
