Residential Homes

The homes at High Spirit Community Farm are welcoming, with their doors open to each other, family and friends. The relationships in each home are tight knit, they care for one another, share meals, relax together and make future plans together. The residents feel safe, comfortable, relaxed and have a sense of ownership over their homes.

This bedroom is filled with a carefully curated VHS collection.

While each home shares these characteristics, they also each have a unique beauty and reflect the unique personalities of the residents and long term staff that live there. For example, one home might be the place to go for dance parties and movie nights, while another home cultivates an atmosphere of peace and restoration, and the kitchen may be the heart of home-life in another. The culture of each home is dynamic, and can change with time, season, and the people within.

The Seekonk House kitchen is spacious and light filled.

Each household member has their own bedroom where they can retreat for privacy whenever they want.

Photos and artwork by the residents and staff are featured on the walls.

Everyone participates in decorating for the holidays.

Meals at home are lovingly prepared with high quality ingredients and the residents’ preferences and needs in mind.

Pets can make home feel even more cozy.

The Residents feel at home in every room in the house.

“A lot of people preach community, you know, but these guys they do what they preach and it's very important to them that this is a place that all people – the residents, the volunteer coworkers, the householders – can call home. It’s tailored to every individual here and at the same time  we are all working together.”
