Matt Baldwin
Day Program Director
Matt and Liz came to High Spirit in 2021. Matt spent his first three years working with Liz as a Householder and Crew Leader and then moved into the Day Program Director position in 2024. Before High Spirit Matt worked as a Light Technician in large theater productions. He is a competent handyman, builder and technician, skills which are very appreciated around our property. His experience growing up around a farm gives him a great base upon which to continue developing the livestock and garden programs at High Spirit Community Farm.
“It’s nice to live where we work. To build relationships with the people that you live and work with is unique and something that really doesn’t exist in most of America. But it does come with its challenges. Sometimes it feels like it is hard to separate work from free time. You have to remember that you are off and that you don’t have to help out when you are home. You need to take time for yourself. When there are issues or emergencies there seems to always be people who are able to help out.”
